
A customer data and marketing platform for e-commerce and direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands with offices in Delaware and Bengaluru has raised $3.5 million in its seed funding round. Titan Capital and Better Capital joined Kae Capital in this round, which was led by Kae Capital.
Leading angel investors like Varun Sadana from SuperTails, Varun Vohra from Akna Medical, Vikram Khandpur (CPO of Sinch), Srinivas Anumolu, and top D2C brand founders like MamaEarth’s Varun Alagh and Arjun Vaidya (co-founder of V3 Ventures and ex-founder of Dr. Vaidy’s) also participated in the round (Co-Founder of BigBites and Ex-Founder of Upwork & TutorVista), Giridhar Malpani (Founder of Climber Capital) and other angels including operators from tech companies around the world like Snowflake, Apple, etc. This news comes eight months after the company successfully raised $800,000 in pre-seed funding in January 2022.

The startup aims to use the additional funding to increase its R&D capabilities, go-to-market (GTM) operations, as well as its international, agency-led partnership program. The business also intends to expand into new international markets and increase marketing and sales efforts, as well as hire personnel for all teams.
Ishaan Bhola, the founder of Contlo, elaborated on the company’s growth by saying, “Marketing technology has been constrained by legacy technology, and not much innovation has occurred in the last decade. But with our AI-First strategy, we’re redefining how future, digitally native brands will conduct business. We create highly customised web-scale trading experiences using AI” . He also stated that “We empower brands to move away from conventional big tech advertising and marketing models and take control of their destiny by building direct channels.”
